Bar Restaurante Lo Foratón

A must-see if you visit the valley. The Bar La Foratón restaurant was a real success: homemade, hearty, and high-quality food. The menu (€16) is priceless; eight people ate there and everyone was delighted. The homemade desserts are truly spectacular, delicious! Highly recommended for both the service and the dining experience.

A must-visit if you're in the area. We went to the Pyrenees for a mountain hike and started by spending the night in Hecho. We were surprised to find a €16 dinner menu, and the food was even more satisfying, homemade and with local products. We liked it so much that four days later, after finishing the hike, we went back for lunch. There's a variety of dishes, three starters and three main courses, which change constantly. Personally, I prefer meat, and what was offered more than met the expectations. Also noteworthy is the bean stew, which if you're lucky, you'll be able to try. As I said, if you're in the La Val Valley, don't look anywhere else.

We went for breakfast before starting the canyoning activity and it was a great choice. Two coffees, toast with tomato and olive oil, and a tortilla pintxo with bread and tomato for only €6.80. Everything was delicious, and the service was superb. The staff was very friendly. We were there years ago and weren't disappointed, so we went back this time and will continue to return when we return to the area. The bathrooms are also new and clean, and they also have a dining room, and I think the hotel does too.

Home cooking at a very reasonable price (16 €). Quiet atmosphere. The girls who serve are very friendly! During our stay in Hecho we have been several times and it has never disappointed us. Highly recommended!

These are the moments when I could really get upset. We came here by chance and due to a lack of alternatives, because I don't actually go to a restaurant that “only” has a 3.9 on Google. But now I also know how to appreciate the unfair reviews from other users. I always have to evaluate what I have chosen at this level. So here we have a bar in a mountain village that is in... On the first floor there is a simple restaurant offering real Basque home cooking. That's exactly what it is, nothing more and nothing less. In contrast to the tourist places on the coast, we were served very nicely here. The waitress doesn’t speak perfect English? Hello, we are foreigners and we are in Spain! There is a menu for €16 (how expensive is that??) or a la carte, also incredibly cheap. We took the menu once and off the menu once. We got very tasty, honest home cooking and very large portions. Maybe we shouldn't have ordered the pork hands, it's a bit too strong for us northern Europeans, but the sauce was very good. Just all that fat… no matter our mistake. The open wine was also very good, beer on tap… everything was great and we are people who eat out very often, including in Michelin restaurants. We were completely shocked by the bill, we have never eaten so cheaply.

My honest experience... we loved the place from the first day! We weren't guests of the hotel they have on site, but we discovered this restaurant while walking, since we were staying in the same town. Everything was perfect. Great prices, very good service. But unfortunately, everything in the entire town was closed except for this restaurant. It's a shame that we tourists were sold out, with no other option, although as I said, I loved it and didn't want any other option! On the second night, the restaurant decided not to offer dinner to people who weren't staying at their own hotel, and with that, we couldn't continue enjoying this restaurant! It's a shame, honestly! There were only two of us. I understood, but at the same time, I said, wow... I also consider myself a customer of the restaurant. Well, we had to travel to other towns that weren't close at all... to find restaurants! I don't know why, but I miss... everything was closed! 5 days there and nothing open... I left with a bad taste in my mouth!

We had breakfast there and it was excellent. Very fast service, very friendly waitress, and everything we ordered was delicious. Recommended for a quick breakfast.

Quality-price ratio. We went in the middle of summer at 3:00 p.m. and received prompt service and excellent food. I would recommend it. They have a fairly spacious dining room upstairs.

They treat you like home. I had lunch and dinner there three days in a row, and both the hostel and the restaurant are the perfect place to start the Valley's hikes. A peaceful place full of nature and friendly people. A daily menu for both lunch and dinner is not expensive in comparison. 100% recommended

We went to this restaurant for dinner in Hecho, and it was a great choice. They offered a 16-euro menu with two courses, dessert, a drink, and bread. They also offered tapas (I couldn't take a photo), but we ordered the patatas bravas (delicious) and the tortilla pincho. They also have a gluten-free option. It's a shame about the ratings, because they deserve more (from what I've read, other people used to run it there before). 100% recommended!
